I picked up a set of black and white English Wedgewood from a West Hollywood garage sale. The set remained in my cupboard for many moons until we traveled to Spain and acquired this sensational tablecloth. A well arranged table setting is most desirable, and should be accomplished at least once in a lifetime!
You must get organized! I have had to design and redesign the space I occupy for various reasons. What I have come to realize is that you must have designated spaces for specific craft. I use a desk for my computer/writing, a separate space for sewing, and a third space for prep.
I really like wall art and hanging things- I think I will always have at least one hanging thing-always.
This candelabra with multiple hanging crystals is available on giraffeandme on ETSY:
I go back and forth with this topic of “dressing” shelves. Sometimes less is more, and other times you have to just get it all in there.
It comes down to personal preference and utilitarianism.
Not all trunks are worth having- find a trunk that is clean, well kept, and that functions- like this trunk with the removable drawer for added storage. You may eventually add castors or feet, depending on the height you may need.
I wanted to capture as much light as I could without the hassle of drawing curtains back and forth. I used “stained glass” film to give me the privacy I needed without losing the much needed light.
I just “LOVE” this headboard project. It took my bed from BLAND to GLAM in about one day. Measure twice, cut once.
This is the Queen Headboard that matches “The Throne” chair from the previous blogpost. It turned out quite well.
This chair was something I found on the side of the road. I took it home and stared at it for about a week. I had the fabric already. I decided to redo the chair and if it worked out well I would use the rest of the fabric to create a matching headboard.
